BRANDON DAORD finally got the English Super-Flyweight title wrapped around his waist in November 2023 after months of frustration.

In early 2023, he was matched for an English title fight, but Ash Lane pulled out at late notice.

Finally, Benn Norman stepped up to the challenge to face the man few dare fight.

Daord was punch-perfect, dropping his rival in the fourth round and a stoppage looked likely.

Benn dug in and survived the ten-round distance, but Daord was a wide winner on all three cards.

He turned professional in June 2016 and inside his first 12 months as a professional outpointed Sergey Tasimov, Stefan Slavchev and Anwar Alfadli.

He ended a lay-off of almost four years in October 2021 with a fourth-round stoppage of Lithuania’s Marius Vysniauskas.

VIP chief Steve Wood is mightily impressed with Daord and a third-round stoppage over Tanzania’s Adam Yahaya the following month showed why.

His first outing in 2022 came in April when after stopping his previous three opponents, outpointed gutsy Reiss Taylor and then outpointed Alexander Taylor.

It was impossible matching him and he resurfaced in September 2023 with six round points win against Stephen Jackson.

Daord was a brilliant amateur representing Everton Red Triangle and won eight National titles.

He joined VIP in the summer of 2021 after his previous managerial contract ended.
