CORY O’REGAN signed up with VIP Promotions in 2021 and it is a move paying off with several big card appearances.

 

O’Regan turned professional in March 2018 and won a procession of fights on points beating tried-and-tested journeymen Adam Bannister, Naeem Ali, Fonz Alexander and Chris Adaway.

 

He didn’t drop a round with the last of those wins coming against Plymouth’s Adaway in September 2019.

 

O’Regan moved to 6-0 on the Martinez-Warrington World title fight undercard in May 2022 when he shut out Poland’s Jakub Laskowski.

 

Two months later it was another 60-54 shutout, this time well-schooled Rustem Fatkhullin wason the receiving end.

 

His third fight of 2022 was another clear points win, turning back the challenge of Tatenda Mangombe.

 

Another Leeds Arena fight beckoned and in December 2022 came his first career stoppage, when he halted Spaniard Antonio Rodriguez in four rounds.

 

Cory had to wait until July 2023 for his next fight and obliged again winning all six rounds in ashutout points win against Jordan Ellison.

 

He ended this year at Hull City Hall in November and gave an assured performance outpointing tricky Nicaraguan, Miguel Zamora.

 

O’Regan started boxing at the age of ten and had a solid amateur career winning an English and Tri-Nations titles.

 

He made his VIP debut on the Manchester Jolly Boys show in December 2021 and overcame Danny Little, winning all four rounds.
