RYAN DOYLE has mixed at the highest level domestically and is still in the mix for another major title fight.

If ‘Ruthless’ Ryan can turn back he clock to the night in June 2018 he defeated Reece Bellotti at a stifling York Hall to become Commonwealth champion he will take some beating.

Bellotti was a hot bookies favourite, but there was smart money from Manchester punters on Doyle who delivered a scintillating display and stopped the Watford man in five rounds.

Just three fights earlier Doyle had lost to heavy-handed Belfast man James Tennyson, but bounced back superbly from that setback. Since the Bellotti win, Doyle hasn’t shown his best form losing his title to Jordan Gill in seven rounds, and when he attempted to win it back came off second best against Leigh Wood.

Doyle, 29, is determined to battle back and is young enough.

Before lockdown came he did get a win over Ibrar Riyaz.

Other good men he has beaten since turning professional in March 2012 include Michael Ramabeletsa and a revenge win over Ian Bailey who beat himhtheir first meeting. Doyle also drew against Issac Lowe in a English title clash.
