Ashley made a rapid-fire start to his professional career stopping experienced Darryl Pearce at the end of round one.

 

Pearce suffered an eye injury when Marron landed a big right hand and cornerman Spencer McCracken decided to end the bout.

 

Plenty of people believe the future is bright for Marron, and he showed there in his second contest in June outpointing Dale Arrowsmith over four rounds.

 

Steve Wood kept him bust and he returned to Bolton four weeks later and comfortably outpointed the naturally bigger Jordan Grannum.

 

An impressive first year as a pro ended with Marron’s first six rounder where he comfortably outpointed Serge Ambomo. As an amateur, Marron boxed for Boarshaw ABC.
