THOMAS VAREY could have joined TV promoters, but he and trainer Andy Abrol decided VIP Boxing was the place to become a World champion.

 

He won a stack of titles as a schoolboy and junior titles at the domestic and European levels.

 

Thomas turned professional in September 2023 and impressed in his hometown outpointing Nicaraguan Engel Gomez.

Varey was back three weeks later when he faced another Nicaraguan, Miguel Zamora who barely survived the four rounds.

 

The traveller made it a hat-trick outpointing Joshua Ocampo in Blackpool in November 2023.

In March 2024 he delivered his best performance as a professional forcing Karl Sampson to retire after two rounds. Impressive stuff, indeed.
