Farnworth Show Review | October 11 | by Luiz Faye
Knockouts, rematches, returns and upsets! 🔥
The dust has settled following an action-packed night in Farnworth! From comebacks and stoppages to razor tight points decisions, this card had a bit of everything for fight fans.
Bobby Faulkner showed his class and continued his unbeaten run, forcing Jack Owens to retire in the fourth round. Described by VIP Promotions boss Steve Wood as “a boxing lesson and a masterclass,” Faulkner once again proved why he is one to
watch in the welterweight division.

Kane Gardner displayed composure and control across six rounds, earning a solid points win over Ramiro Garcia Lopez in their super lightweight clash. A slight chin check in the fifth, when he was caught square by a stiff jab from the Mexican, did not faze “Sugar Kane” as he finished the round as dominantly as the rest.
Alex Murphy boxed smartly, nullifying Oliveira’s trademark kidology from the first round. Working well behind his jab, Murphy shifted through the gears with ease. But
Jonatas Rodrigo Gomes de Oliveira reminded “Super Alex” he was still a live opponent by scoring a knockdown at the end of round five. Murphy showed real grit, responding with a punch perfect round six to close out a strong performance.

Kyle Lomotey brought the crowd to their feet with a powerful TKO win over Marcelo Fabian Bzowski, finishing the job in style in the fifth after multiple knockdowns. His body work was superb and simply too much for the Argentinian southpaw.
Two fights, two wins in four weeks! Leon Entwistle looked sharp and slick, in front of a home crowd with a confident, shutout points win over Paul Scaife, making a strong statement that he’s back, with big plans for 2026!
It was not all smooth sailing for the home fighters. VIP’s Lennox Lythgoe and Lewis Wood both suffered points defeats in closely contested battles, a reminder of how fine the margins can be in this sport. Lythgoe took a narrow points loss in his rematch against Erick Omar Lopez, with the former world level opponent proving just too strong for the featherweight.
Lewis Wood, returning after an eleven-month layoff following his English title challenge, gave everything in an entertaining and hard fought four rounds with Jake Price, who showed he was not just there to make up the numbers. Nothing ventured, nothing gained and both lads will be back on the win sheet in no time.

Another unforgettable night of boxing action filled with heart, hunger and highlight moments. Farnworth delivered once again!
