TRAINER Lee Blundell looks to have unearthed a prospect in Owen Anderton, who stole the show on his debut.  That came in his hometown Wigan in November 2023 punishing tough Jake Bray before crippling him with a body shot ending the contest in round three.
 

He was forced to go the distance in his second fight but comfortably outpointed Lithuania’s Vaidas Balciauskas.

Fight number three was another shutout, as he got the better of experienced Kristaps Zulgis who did well to make it through four rounds after being on the receiving end of punishing body shots.

 

He kept momentum going, with two fights at the end of 2024, outpointing Jordan Grannum and Connor Meanwell in an thrilling four-rounds.

Anderton boxed on the unlicensed circuit and then had five amateur contests before turning professional.
