PADDY LACEY is ready to chase titles in 2024 after ending this year with a spectacular win.

Lacey scored his best win to date at Liverpool’s Echo Arena in October 2023 demolishing Owen Kirk after just 100 seconds of the opening round, his rival unable to beat the count after a sledgehammer left to the body.

Paddy made his debut two years earlier and despite a couple of tricky moments won all four rounds against heavier Croatian Stanko Jemelic.

He then got the call to fight on a big Matchroom card at Liverpool Arena in December 2021, when he sold 500 tickets and comfortably outscored Russia’s Vasif Mamedov over four rounds.

Paddy even managed to squeeze in a four-rounder at Liverpool Olympia, two weeks before that big date and had few problems overcoming Czech Pavel Albrecht.

His first fight of 2022 extended his winning record with a four-round decision against Josh Cook.

Lacey made it five out of five in May when he outpointed Jake Bray at Blackpool Winter Gardens. Jake had upset VIP stablemate Owen Kirk at the same venue five weeks earlier.

Paddy decided he would be better suited to middleweight and that was proven in June when he stepped up and hammered debutant Ryan Broten after 43 seconds of the first round.

He was back at ‘The Echo’ for his first fight of 2023 and easily outpointed fellow Scouser Jay McCarthy over six rounds.

Lacey was in action in September 2023 and outscored Mexican Fernando Valencia ahead of a clash against VIP stablemate Owen Kirk.

He was on Sheffield Wednesday’s books as a youngster, but when he was released, he moved on and played in the National League for Barrow and in League Two for Accrington Stanley.

Lacey has also played for Chester City, but left the club in early 2022 and ended the season with Warrington Rylands helping them win promotion to the Northern Premier League.
