THERE may not have been an avalanche of boxing cards in Britain this year, but Jay Farrell’s showdown against Damian Chambers for the vacant Central Area Cruiserweight was the shoot out of 2020. It lasted less than five minutes and Jay was the loser, but the Liverpool Olympia clash was special. Both men were dropped heavily before Farrell was knocked out in the second round.

Farrell may want to return with a win first, but promoter Steve Wood would love the pair to renew the rivalry in 2021. He turned professional in January 2016. Only two men have lasted the distance in his winning fights. Elvis Dube and Dmitrij Kalinovskij both went the full trip twice.
