JACK KILGANNON is one of the many VIP boxers who have won Central Area titles during our 25 plus years in boxing. His career highlight so far, came when he edged out John Telford over ten rounds to claim the vacant crown and put himself in line for an English title crack.

That fight, back in July 2019 and ‘The Cannon’ is now looking to push further up the Middleweight rankings with his fans hopefully watching on.
After boxing’s Covid break he returned in September 2021 and stopped Pole Damian Stanislawski in the fourth round of their six rounder - an impressive performance after two years parked up.

He turned professional in July 2017 after a solid amateur career where he won 32 of his 46 bouts and won numerous regional titles.

Before his title winning performance against Telford, Kilgannon developed nicely in learning fights beating men like Lewis van Poetsch, Jordan Grannum and Serge Ambono - all top tests for prospects.

In April 2022 he had been due to top the bill in Wigan on a VIP show, but at 48 hours notice he took a short notice job against prospect Zak Chelli.
Jack lost in six rounds, but showed a lot of heart against his fancied rival before being stopped in the scheduled eight rounder.
Kilgannon likes to fly the flag for his hometown and has spent time training Oldham Athletic’s Youth Team in the noble art.
