Few VIP promoted boxers have ever had a pro debut as exciting as Guy did when he faced veteran Jordan Grannum in April 2023. The pair waged war for four rounds before Kitching was given the nod, 39-38. Kitching was dropped heavily in round three, but recovered brilliantly and the Wayne Woods trained boxer deserved his maiden pro win.

Thrills are assured whenever Kitching fights and despite giving away almost 6lb came through on points over four rounds against veteran Victor Edagha when he returned to Wakefield in July. It wasn’t without a scare though as Kitching was clipped in round four and touched down.
